Water Treatment

The City of St. Augustine's drinking water comes from deep wells drawing from the Upper Floridan aquifer. Treatment processes include reverse osmosis, filtration, aeration and free chlorine disinfection.  The City's Water Treatment Plant is permitted to treat up to 6.5 million gallons of water daily.  

Water Distribution System

The City supplies drinking water to over 17,000 potable water customers. The distribution system is comprised of over 230 miles of distribution mains ranging in size from 2 to 20 inches.
