Milling and paving project to begin Monday, June 23

Residents are reminded to move vehicles

News Flash Posted on June 13, 2025

Beginning the week of June 23, milling, resurfacing, and striping will take place on several streets in downtown St. Augustine, primarily south of City Hall and in Lincolnville, with one street affected in West City.  The City of St. Augustine’s contractor, Preferred Materials, will suspend work prior to Friday, July 4, and resume on Monday, July 7, following the holiday weekend to ensure they do not impact holiday traffic and visitors.  The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather.

The streets will not be closed during work hours but delays in traffic can be expected.  On-street parking will be prohibited from 7am-4pm Monday thru Friday while construction is in progress. Vehicles parked on the street obstructing the resurfacing work may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Milling and resurfacing will be conducted on the following streets:

Artillery Lane: Avilés Street to St. George Street
Bravo Lane: Avilés Street to Avenida Menendez
Bridge Street: Avenida Menendez to M L King Avenue
Desoto Place: Granda Street to M L King Avenue
Charlotte Street: Cathedral Place to Treasury Street
Cordova Street: St. Francis Street to St. George Street
Marine Street: St. Francis Street to Hedrick Street

M L King Avenue: King Street to Bridge Street
Sanford Street: Cedar Street to St. Francis Street
