Yard debris pickup continues as needed

Regular trash and recycling collections will remain on schedule.

News Flash Posted on October 03, 2024

Regular solid waste and recycling schedule remains in place

Following the local impacts of Hurricane Helene, the City of St. Augustine Solid Waste Division will deploy additional manpower on citywide residential brush collections to gather all remaining yard debris that is properly disposed of curbside.

The Solid Waste Division will maintain regularly scheduled residential and commercial garbage and recycling routes, as well.

Residents are reminded of several basis rules regarding debris collection:

  • Place debris curbside in containers or bags, or neatly in piles for easy pickup access
  • Do not place brush piles next to utility poles, electric boxes, fire hydrants, and guidewires.  This interferes and sometimes prohibits access by removal equipment
  • Do not block road access.  Parking in front of debris piles prevents access by removal equipment.

Neighborhoods who still have brush at the curb will receive collections throughout the week, and possibly into next week. We appreciate the community’s patience and assistance during this time.

Customers with extenuating circumstances should contact the Solid Waste Division 904.825.1049 for more information or assistance.
