The City of St. Augustine Communications Department announced today, as part of its contracted services with CivicPlus, Inc., the City’s website vendor, a redesign will be launched on Tuesday, April 2, for the City of St. Augustine website and the website for the Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA).
“Overall content of both sites will remain intact,” commented Melissa Wissel, Communications Director, and supervisor of both website overhauls. “However, changes to the color schemes, navigation menus, Home page buttons, banner images, and calendars will make the biggest impression, once the updates are implemented.” Content on the pages for the Municipal Marina, Fire Department, and Police Department will also remain relatively unchanged, but banner images and color schemes will be noticeably different.
The update will take place over the course of the workday on Tuesday, April 2, and users are asked to be patient with the new changes.
Kymberlyn McCrea, Website Administrative Coordinator, was hired to the newly created position in November 2023, and has been the project lead of the redesigns, working with departmental staff and CRA staff as well. McCrea commented enthusiastically, “It’s been an exciting way to kick-off this position, and there is so much more to come – I can’t wait!” She continued by saying, “the updates to the navigation are going to be the biggest change, but our intent is to make it more intuitive and easier for the end-user to find what they are looking for.”
