City continues web-based application for finding parking in historic downtown

Mobility solution aimed at improving parking experience

News Flash Posted on July 25, 2025

The City of St. Augustine is upgrading its online parking website, launched in 2023, that was designed to improve the parking experience for visitors and residents alike, ensuring the ability to easily identify parking options and approximations of availability prior to arriving in the historic downtown area.

Key features of the parking finder website include the ability to see up-to-the-minute parking conditions, approximate street spaces and parking lot availability, as well as live parking space availability in the Historic Downtown Parking Facility.

“The Parking Finder website has been in place for a few years now, and we want to be sure our residents and visitors know where to find this information,” Mobility Manager Xavier Pellicer commented.  “With the frustrations of last year’s Nights of Lights so fresh in people’s memory, it’s important to remind everyone that we do have resources out there to help improve the overall experience.”

In addition, the web-based technology allows City staff to update parking information on the Parking Finder website at any given point, such as road closures, changes to parking due to events and warnings of increased congestion due to vehicles or pedestrians.  Franklin noted, “the goal is to reduce confusion and frustration while making it easier for everyone to find parking, safely and legally, so they can get to the business of enjoying St. Augustine.”

The St. Augustine Parking Finder can be found on the City’s website: www.CityStAug.com/ParkingFinder
