Assistant Chief Jeffrey Collins began his law enforcement career in 2009 and brings extensive operational and leadership experience to his role. He previously served approximately six years in the Detective Division as both an Investigator and Corporal. Assistant Chief Collins currently oversees Fleet Maintenance and purchasing operations.
Throughout his career, he has served as a Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Corporal, and Field Training Officer, where he mentored and guided new officers during the early stages of their careers. He also represented the agency as the former Commander of the Honor Guard Team.
Assistant Chief Collins holds an Associate of Science degree from Vincennes University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Flagler College. He is a graduate of the Florida Leadership Academy, Class 55, and has completed several advanced leadership courses in government supervision and command-level decision-making.
