On Friday, September 26, at 10:00am, the City of St. Augustine will unveil a new Little Library at Project S.W.I.N.G., alongside members of the Sigma Pi Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.  Commissioner Cynthia Garris and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Brother Sherman Riley, who have championed the effort, will lead the ceremony, and the public is invited to attend.

Ketterlinus Elementary School Third Grade Class will participate in the program, bringing additional books to fill the Little Library box.

The Little Library will be hand-painted by Jessica Bryce, of Bryce Brushworks, and is being dedicated in honor of two notable Fraternity members, Dr. Otis Mason and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The Little Library is part of one of the fraternity’s national programs, "Go To High School, Go To College," and aligns with their Splendid Gents Mentoring Program, which focuses on guiding middle school boys toward positive development and academic success.

The Historic Downtown Parking Facility, located at 1 Cordova Street, adjacent to the playground, will be open for parking.  St. Johns County residents who have registered their vehicles in the ParkStAug resident discount program can park for $3.
