Due to tremendous community interest, all available spots have been filled

News Flash Posted on March 03, 2025

The City of St. Augustine is pleased to announce that the Citizens’ Academy has received an overwhelming response from the community, and all 20 available slots for the program have been filled.

Assistant City Manager Reuben Franklin introduced the Citizens’ Academy program at the City Commission meeting on February 24, 2025. The program aims to offer residents an inside look at the City’s operations, providing an opportunity for one-on-one engagement with City leadership, departments, and day-to-day operations.

“Our goal is not only to educate our residents but to get to know them and for them to get to know us outside of commission meetings or in large community settings,” said Franklin.

Applications are no longer being accepted for this year.
