Residents reminded about proper brush debris disposal

Following the impacts of Hurricane Helene, the City of St. Augustine has resumed normal operations.

While yard debris collection service remains on schedule for pickup on Wednesday, October 2, residents are reminded to follow these helpful tips:

  • Brush debris should be placed no more than 10 feet away from the curb.  This ensures easy access for crews and claw trucks.
  • Do not place debris under low hanging limbs or wires.
  • Debris should not obstruct vehicular traffic, fire hydrants, mailboxes, and utility boxes.
  • Do not place debris in the street.  The roadway must be clear for access to the debris piles
  • Avoid parking on the street.  Collection crews and street sweepers need direct access.
