Manhole Rehabilitation Begins Monday, July 29th
Process is critical to infrastructure maintenance
Starting on Monday, July 29 and continuing through Friday, November 29, manhole rehabilitation of the City’s sanitary sewer system will take place throughout the City and County.
Manhole rehabilitation is a critical preventive maintenance procedure to repair and extend the life of these vital structures. Simultaneously it significantly reduces sources of storm water runoff or ground water intrusion entering the City’s sewage collection system.
The schedule of rehabilitation is as follows:
- July 29 - August 2: The Florida School of the Deaf and Blind
- August 5 - 9: Greater Fullerwood
- August 12 - 16: Greater Fullerwood
- August 19 - 23: Nelmar Terrace
- August 26 - 30: Magnolia
- September 3 - 6: US-1
- September 9 - 13: US-1
- September 16 - 20: Uptown
Properties in the affected areas are being notified with door hangers. Residents in the affected areas are asked to not park on top of the manhole covers.
