Temporary residential parking permits issued for Nights of Lights

Downtown Historic District, adjacent neighborhoods qualify for seasonal pass

News Flash Posted on November 05, 2025

In an effort to ensure downtown neighborhood street parking remains available for residents, the City of St. Augustine is implementing a temporary Resident Only parking program in Flagler Model Land Company, Abbott Tract, and Uptown neighborhoods.

Resident Only permit parking will be in effect, starting Saturday, November 15 through January 11, 2026, from 7:00am to 9:00pm, in Flagler Model Land Company; and from 1:00pm to 9:00pm in Abbott Tract, and Uptown neighborhoods.

Downtown Historic District and adjacent neighborhood zones that already offer Resident Only parking do not require additional temporary parking permits.

Nights of Lights temporary residential parking permit applications are available for download online, or in-person pick-up at the Customer Service Department, located at 50 Bridge Street.  Completed applications may be emailed to parking@citystaug.com or delivered in person to Customer Service.  A limit of four hangtags per property address will be issued and mailed to qualifying residents.

Parking enforcement staff will be monitoring downtown residential neighborhoods and will issue $100 citations for illegal parking, including vehicles that display workforce parking permits in residential zones.

For questions about the Resident Only parking program, contact Tara Bennie, Parking Supervisor, at 904-825-1090, or send an email to parking@citystaug.com.  Complete information is available at www.CityStAug.com/NOLResidentParking.
