City Commission special meeting swears-in mayor, two commissioners

Commissioner Barbara Blonder selected as Vice Mayor

On Monday, December 2, during the City of St. Augustine City Commission Special Meeting, the Honorable Judge Alexander Christine, County Court Judge, St. Johns County, administered the Oath of Office, swearing-in Mayor Nancy Sikes-Kline and Commissioner Barabara Blonder, each for their second term, and Commissioner Jon DePreter for his first term.

 

As part of the brief meeting, Commissioner Barbara Blonder was nominated by Commissioner Jim Springfield to serve as Vice Mayor.  Blonder accepted the nomination and was voted in unanimously.

 

The reorganized commission will hold its first regular meeting and the only one in December on Monday, December 9 at 5:00pm.  The commission's regular meeting schedule of second and fourth Mondays will resume in January.
