Public art finalists presented proposals to Public Art Committee
Committee to rank and recommend proposals on Tuesday, July 30
Three finalists selected by the City’s Public Art Committee returned for a public meeting on July 9 to present their proposals for the art installation at the May Street and San Marco intersection.
The finalists selected by the Public Art Committee are Vicki Scuri, Ivan Depeña, and Patrick Marold. In May, after participating in an open house meeting with the public where they heard suggestions and personal visions for the art installation, the artists also went before the Public Art Committee to answer questions about themselves and their work.
The Public Art Committee will convene on Tuesday, July 30 to rank and recommend their finalists’ proposals to be presented to the City Commission. The public is encouraged to attend to provide comment.
The final recommendations will be provided to the City Commission to determine final ranking at the Monday, August 12, meeting.
