Pedestrian safety remains a priority

At the November 21 regular meeting of the Historic Architectural Review Board, Mobility Coordinator Xavier Pellicer requested approval to construct pedestrian improvements across Avenida Menendez and Marine Street, spanning from Artillery Lane to the Municipal Marina, which would include a crosswalk, signage, ADA ramp, and curbed islands. This effort is part of the Mobility Program to continually make pedestrian improvements within the City.

The crosswalk and curbed islands will be laid in brick with flashing lighted signs on either side of the street, that will be activated by a pedestrian wishing to cross the road.

For further information, contact Xavier “X” Pellicer, Mobility Coordinator, at 904.209.4211.
