Residential recycling pickup will resume Thursday, November 30
Offices for the City of St. Augustine will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Residential recycling collection will be suspended until Thursday, November 30 to allow for solid waste workers to be given the holiday off from work. Parking in the Historic Downtown Parking Facility will be free on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23. City owned parking lots and on-street parking is free on all national holidays, such as Thanksgiving Day, except for the Castillo de San Marcos. Drivers are urged to confirm if a lot is owned by the City and not a private operator, as many of those lots have strict towing policies. Parking will be enforced for all vehicles parked illegally, including in areas reserved for delivery, franchised sightseeing vehicles and taxis, or vehicles on sidewalks or against yellow curbs. Please note, regular parking fees will resume on Friday, November 24.
