Due to technical issues arising from equipment failure just prior to the start of the City Commission meeting on Monday, March 8, 2021, the City will not have online live-stream of any public meetings until further notice, including on Comcast GTV.
Audio of public meetings will be recorded and subsequently posted on the City’s website at www.CityStAugTV.com on the day immediately following.
“With the recent issues in The Alcazar Room, we realize the need to upgrade our audiovisual and broadcasting technology,” City Clerk Darlene Galambos commented. Galambos oversees the coordination of the broadcast technology of City meetings with the Information Technology (IT) Division, and said, “in order to ensure complete compatibility we will be installing an entirely new system.”
Once equipment is received, the city expects it will take several weeks before the system is fully tested and ready to resume broadcasting.
“We know how critically important it is for our residents and members of the community to be able to see, hear, and actively participate in any and all of our public meetings,” said City Manager John Regan. “As soon as we possibly can, we will be back online and live-streaming. In the meantime, we ask for everyone’s patience and understanding.”
