Owners of cats and or dogs within the City of St. Augustine are required to register their pets annually with the City. View the City Ordinances for Animals.
To Register an Animal
To register an animal, the owner needs to present current rabies certificate for each cat and/or dog, provide some descriptive information about the animal (i.e. name, breed, color, and sex) and pay the annual registration fee. Upon registration, the owner will be provided with an information tag, which must be attached to the animal’s collar.
Register in Person
Cats and dogs may be registered, in person, at the Financial Service Center of the Financial Services Department, located at 50 Bridge Street. You may call the Financial Service Center at 904-825-1037.
