Survey is available through late November
This fall, area residents will have a unique opportunity to help improve transportation in the North Florida region.
The North Florida Transportation Planning Organization (North Florida TPO) and the Florida Dept. of Transportation (FDOT) are sponsoring the North Florida Travel Survey to better understand residents’ transportation needs. This is important because the information collected in this survey will help improve the regional transportation system and prioritize future transportation improvements. The survey is currently underway to late November.
The transportation survey is collecting information on day-to-day travel and activities in the North Florida region: how we travel, where we go, how long it takes us, and what we do when we arrive. “We want to obtain a complete picture of travel patterns in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau, Putnam and St. Johns Counties,” said Jeff Sheffield, executive director, North Florida TPO.
According to the North Florida TPO, it is their goal to have as many North Florida residents as possible to participate. Sheffield said, “Our community’s input and support will have a significant impact to transportation planning in our region.”
As thanks for participation, following survey completion each participating household will be entered in a drawing for a GRAND PRIZE – iPhone X, or one of 25 $100 Amazon or Walmart gift cards.
