Last fall, through numerous public meetings and an on-line survey, the city asked for public input as it began to work on a revision of the Anastasia Boulevard Entry Corridor Standards. Now, the resulting draft is available for review and comment by the public and will be through Friday, May 5.

The city has three entry corridors, Anastasia Blvd., San Marco Ave., and King St., and each has guidelines specific to their appearances, includes landscaping and building exteriors. Originally adopted in 2003, the guidelines are being updated with Anastasia Blvd. being the first of the three to go through the process. The area governed by the guidelines extends from the east end of the Bridge of Lions to Casanova Road, just past the St. Augustine Alligator Zoological Park, a
distance of approximately 1.5 miles

Along with the proposed revised guidelines for Anastasia Blvd., the survey data and its summary may be viewed on the Anastasia Boulevard Design Standards webpage.

The document will be reviewed and discussed by the Planning and Zoning Board and the Historical Architectural Review Board, before being adopted by the City Commission. All meetings are in The Alcazar Room, City Hall, 75 King St.
